Land Survey Program

The mission of the Land Survey Program is to develop and provide information required for the accurate and economical location of property boundaries in Missouri. The program is responsible for Cadastral and Geodetic Surveys as well as making survey documents available to surveyors and the public. The land corners established by the USPLSS (US Public Land Survey System) are the basis for the location of all property in Missouri.

We are looking for a full time Land Surveyor to make a positive impact on Missouri citizens!

TITLE: Land Surveyor

LOCATION:  Rolla, Missouri

SALARY:  $58,462.80 annually (Salary may be negotiable above listing based on candidate experience)

What You'll Do:

Minimum Qualifications:

Possession of a certificate as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) issued by the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Landscape Architects.

Ability to work outside in all types of weather and navigate all types of terrain.

Ability to travel statewide in the performance of assigned duties and occasional overnight travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Coursework or experience in survey methods and GPS software
  2. Coursework or experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software 
  3. Experience in Carlson Drafting software
  4. Effective communication skills
  5. Knowledge of principles and practices of cadastral and geodetic surveying.
